Harare City HR Director, Former Housing Director & Another Senior Police Officer Arrested Over The Kuwadzana Stands Scandal

ZRP has arrested 4 more people in the $1 Million Kuwadzana Stands scandal, the three are ZRP’s Superintendent Naboth Nyachega, and Harare City Council’s human resources director and former housing director Matthew Marara and housing assistant Aaron Taerera, The Herald reports. Yesterday’s arrests bring the number of people arrested to 6 after 2 senior police officers were arrested on Wednesday over the same scandal.
The arrest of the ZRP officer was confirmed by ZACC Commissioner John Makamure who said:

FeedbackMr Thabani Mpofu who is the SACU head also confirmed the arrests and said:
I can confirm that Nhekairo and others have been arrested. We are now waiting for all the documents from the police so that they will appear in court tomorrow. All I can say now is that it’s an ongoing investigation.

They are all expected to appear in court today. Nhekairo is being accused of approving the allocation of the Westlea stands and the police officers and being accused of taking bribes and not arresting the people involved in the scam.
