Ministry Of Health COVID-19 Update, Zimbabwe Records One More Death And One More Recovery

One more person has succumbed to the novel coronavirus, this was revealed in the Ministry Of Health Update that was published yesterday which said:

Fifty-eight (58) cases tested positive for COVID-19 today. These include returnees from South Africa (21), Botswana (16) and (21) local cases who are isolated. Two (2) of the local cases are contacts of known confirmed cases. investigations are underway to establish the source of infection for the other 19 cases

One (1) recovery was reported by Manicaland Province.

Today we regret to report 1 death at facility level in Bulawayo Province. The death is a 36 year old female who was admitted in hospital On the 16th of July 2020 with a persistent cough and tested positive for COVID 19.

Today 134 RDT screening tests and 541 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 100 376(59 740 PDT and 40 636 PCR).
