Team Pachedu has made claims that renowned journalist Hopewell Chin’ono who was arrested for enticing public violence last week was about to expose the government’s command agriculture corruption in detail when he was arrested.
Pachedu substantiated their claims with a screenshot of a photo taken from Chin’ono’s deleted Twitter account. Team Pachedu tweeted:
Hopewell Chin’ono was about to expose the command agriculture corruption in detail when he was arrested. He is being illegally persecuted for exposing ZANU-PF. #FreeHopewell #FreeNgarivhume
Chin’ono ‘s arrest made international headlines and attracted the response of the United Nations which implored the government to stop the infringing on people’s right. Chin’ono’s expose of the COVIDgate or Draxgate scandal also made headlines internationally.
Command Agriculture is infamous for gobbling US$3 Billion and producing no tangible results many months after its initiation.
