Juventus To “Evaluate Everything” Following Loss To Lyon In Champions League
Juventus have said they will have meetings to evaluate “everything” after crashing out of the Uefa Champions League on Friday night.
Juve have since sacked head coach Maurizio Sarri after only one season which they described as very difficult. In a statement, the club said:
The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus’ history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football.
FeedbackEarlier, club president Andrea Agnelli said the club would “take a few days to consider, evaluate everything and discuss how to go forward for next season.”
This is despite the club’s success in the domestic league – Serie A in which they lifted their 9th consecutive league championship.

Agnelli was convinced that 35-year-old Ronaldo, who he described as the best player in the history of the Champions League, would remain for the third and final year of his contract.
Ronaldo’s two goals on Friday were not enough to send Juve to the quarterfinals.
