Kutsime Talk Show got a little heated when the issue of ‘dressing’ and sexual harassment was brought up. Three ladies agreed that they should be allowed to dress as they please whilst one man on the show argued that women were probably going too far.
Nomaliso Musasiwa, one of the panellists said:
Lack of Morals is not Normalcy! They (men) should have morals, then we can discuss bounds of acting normal or abnormal.
Some argue that dressing has a huge bearing on sexual harassment. Meanwhile, it is important to note that sexual harassment is a broad concept.
While sexual harassment may include rape, street harassment is considered harassment done primarily by acts, sexist slurs, wolf-whistling, catcalling, intrusive gazing, cursing, persistent telling of sexual jokes in public or online, persistent sexual advances, and touching by strangers, in public areas such as streets, shopping malls and public transportation.
