Meeting The President An Honour & Dream Come True - Kadewere

France-based Zimbabwean international footballer Tinotenda Kadewere says it was an honour and a dream come true to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Kadewere, his wife Sharon, brothers Prosper and Pardon Kadewere met President Mnangagwa at State House on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to The Herald about his meeting with the First Family, the Olympique Lyonnais striker said he got a boost of confidence from the President. Said Kadewere:

It was an honour to be able to get to meet His Excellency.

When my brother told me that we had been invited by the President, I was touched and I said to myself this has always been a dream.

It gave me a boost in my head and so much confidence that even the President himself is proud of what I am doing.

Kadewere added that he was left awestruck by President Mnangagwa’s “humility” and shed a tear when he entered State House. He said:

It gives me the courage to be able to do more for my country. The book present he gave me is wonderful. I never expected it. I was actually shocked about how humble the First Family is.
