WATCH: Viral Video Of The Woman Whose Baby Was "Fatally Assaulted" By ZRP Officers
A video of the woman whose baby was struck by a police officer in Harare last week has surfaced on social media. Eyewitnesses said the child died at the scene but ZRP said the child and the mother were both OK.
However, in the video below the woman is seen grabbing the collar of the police officer who struck her child in anger.
The mother of the child has not surfaced to share her side of the story. However, 3 people have been arrested for talking about the incident on Twitter as ZRP says they spread falsehoods on social media over the issue because the child did not die, contrary to social media reports to that effect:
An overzealous @PoliceZimbabwe killed a 9 month old baby.
The cop was enforcing lockdown, beating people using a button stick.
