The Police Sub Aqua Unit and rescue workers from the Gweru City Council Fire Brigade and a private company on Monday retrieved a vehicle that was swept away when the driver attempted to cross a flooded Gweru River just after Ascot suburb in Gweru on Sunday.
The Isuzu double cab had six people on board including the driver when the accident occurred.
Two bodies were pulled out of the water and the search for four other passengers is still underway.
