Zimbabwe’s most-followed YouTuber, Islamic Scholar Ismail ibn Musa Menk, also known as Mufti Menk has revealed that he has taken one of the COVID-19 vaccinations available.
Menk said he took a vaccine called Sinopharm. In his 17 minutes YouTube video, Menk a Muslim, also took the time to address some conspiracy theories surrounding the vaccine and said there was no pork in the vaccine and he had even taken the first dosage of the vaccine.
Menk said:
Bismillah.
I’ve taken the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine. There are two types of vaccines available. Sinopharm is among the old school traditional vaccines. That’s the one I took. Pfizer, Moderna etc have developed a new generation of vaccine, of which the long term effects are yet to be known.
I would hold on on those until the study is completed. May Allah Almighty protect us ALL from this and all other viruses, sicknesses and diseases.

According to BBC Sinopharm is a drug that is being developed by a Chinese Company Sinopharm and it showed that it is 79% effective – lower than that of Pfizer and Moderna for now.
