Teenager Raped After Believing 'Prophetic' Message
A 19-year-old Harare woman was raped several times by a 33-year-old man between January and February this year after believing a purported prophetic message from a self-proclaimed prophet.
Through their Twitter account, the police said the prophet told the woman that he had seen a vision of his would-be husband, but the man later turned out to be a rapist.
The woman then informed the “prophet” that she had been raped by the “future husband” but the self-proclaimed seer concealed the crime. Police said:
The ZRP encourages members of the public to report all cases of sexual abuse promptly and avoid trusting strange prophetic utterances from pastors and prophets.
A Harare woman (19) was raped on several occasions between January and February 2021 by a suspect (33) after receiving a prophetic message from an alleged prophet who indicated to her that the man will be her future husband.
