Mnangagwa Deploys Ambassadors To Washington DC, Geneva & Brussels

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Thursday bade farewell to Zimbabwe’s ambassadors to Washington DC, Geneva and Brussels.

The three ambassadors held a briefing with President Mnangagwa at State House ahead of their diplomatic missions.

Tadeous Chifamba has been assigned to Washington DC, Stuart Comberbach has been appointed the new permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland while Amon Mutembwa has been deployed to Brussels, Belgium.

Comberbach takes over from Frederick Shava who was recently appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade following the death of Sibusiso Moyo in January.

President Mnangagwa’s engagement and re-engagement policy with the international community is seemingly off the rails after both the United Kingdom and the United States renewed sanctions on some senior government officials accused of undermining democracy in Zimbabwe.
