Billiat To Resume Non-contact Training Next Week

Warriors talismanic forward Khama Billiat will only start non-contact training on 22 March, South African media has reported.

Billiat has been out of action since January when he sustained an injury during Kaizer Chiefs’ goalless draw against Stellenbosch FC and might only start playing from April.

According to South African online publication, KickOff.com, the Warriors’ star will start non-contact training on Monday next week.

Billiat has already been ruled out of the Zimbabwe squad to face Zambia and Botswana in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month.

Zimbabwe faces Botswana in Gaborone on 25 March and has a home tie against Zambia at the National Sports Stadium four days later.

Warriors Zdravko “Loga’’ Logarusic, however, is optimistic despite Billiat and a host of other stars’ unavailability for the crunch matches.

Meanwhile, Loga is yet to register a win as Warriors’ coach in the six matches that he has been in charge of.
