Zvishavane-based FC Platinum Saturday thrashed Whawha FC 6-0 in a Chibuku Super Cup match played at Mandava Stadium.
FC Platinum got a brace from Silas Songani, a hattrick from Rodwell Chinyengetere and one from Mhlanga Lawrence.
Some observers attributed the pure platinum from Norman Mapeza’s boys to their recent participation in the Confederation of African Football Champions League.
Other local teams have had no competitive football in a very long period of time.
