Police Speak On Arrest Of 6 Suspects For Robbery Cases In Bulawayo

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has spoken on the arrest of six suspects for robbery in Bulawayo during which two of the suspects were shot dead. Pindula News present the police’s statement.

ARREST OF 6 SUSPECTS FOR ROBBERY CASES IN BULAWAYO

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has declared war on all armed robbery suspects and the recent allocation of new vehicles to the Criminal Investigations Department, Homicide by His Excellence, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has given impetus to the Zimbabwe Republic Police resolve to tackle robbery cases.

In this regard, the Police will leave no stone unturned to account for all those involved in violent crimes.

On 7 August 2021, Police arrested Brian Nkomo (31), Nomore Hove (39), Mthokozisi Moyo (37) and Nkosilathi Ncube alias China (42) in connection with a spate of armed robbery cases committed between March 2021 and August 2021 in Bulawayo and surrounding areas.

Police received information that the suspects who had travelled all the way from South Africa were committing robbery at the complainant’s homestead in Fourwinds, Bulawayo.

The robbery happened on a house along Franklin Drive, Fourwinds, Byo where the shoot out occurred.

Police said 4 firearms were recovered at the scene.
