Man Connives With Colleagues To Rob His Girlfriend Of US$32 000 Company Money

Police have arrested a man who connived with other suspects to rob her girlfriend of cash amounting to US$32 078 which belonged to her employer.
According to national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, Henry Mutisi knew that his girlfriend Maria Gwete had been sent to collect the money by her company executive in Harare.
Mutisi supplied the information to his accomplices, Crick Glen Mbongiseni Mathema (25), Simelwenkosi Dube (26) and Brendon Gumbo (24), and four other suspects who are still at large, and then hatched a plan to commit the robbery.
The three men, who have all been arrested, side swapped Gwete’s Honda Fit with an unregistered Toyota Wish at the 15km peg along Bulawayo-Harare Road on 7 September 2021.
After forcing Gwete to stop, the suspects brandished an unknown pistol and robbed her of the cash. Said Asst Comm Nyathi:
