ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON SATURDAY 09 OCTOBER 2021 VALID UNTIL MONDAY 11 OCTOBER 2021.

PREAMBLE

Brief partly cloudy conditions occurred over Matabeleland South, Masvingo and Manicaland Provinces while the rest of the country had mostly clear skies. It was cool at night, warm to hot during the day.

Meanwhile, a cool and moist south-easterly airflow will be introduced into the southeastern areas of Zimbabwe.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW SUNDAY 10 OCTOBER 2021.

It should be cloudy and cool over Matabeleland South, Masvingo and Manicaland Provinces with a chance of patchy morning drizzle.

The rest of the country (Midlands, All Mashonaland Provinces and Harare Metropolitan Province) is expected to be fine to partly cloudy with a chance of isolated thundershowers. It should be cool in the morning, becoming hot by the afternoon.

IMPACTS

  • Risk of respiratory-related ailments such as asthma, hay fever, colds and flu due to the temperature fluctuation.
  • While land preparations are very vital at this stage, those engaged in such on-farm and other outdoor activities are reminded that it is illegal to start veldt fires.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

  • For expert advice on preventative and redemptive measures for colds and flu, please consult your local health practitioner.
  • Put out any fires found in open veldts and along road-sides. Do not leave any fire unattended.

WEATHER FORECAST MONDAY 11 OCTOBER 2021 OUTLOOK

It should be cloudy and cool, with a patchy morning drizzle over Matabeleland South Province, Bulawayo Metropolitan, Midlands Province, Masvingo Province, Harare Metropolitan Province, Mashonaland East Province and Manicaland Province. It will become partly cloudy and warm later.

The rest of the country should be mostly clear. It should be mild in the morning becoming warm by afternoon.
