Kaizer Chiefs Appoint Arthur Zwane As Head Coach

Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Arthur Zwane as their new Kaizer Chiefs head coach replacing Stuart Baxter who left the club mid-season.

eNCA reports that Zwane has signed a three-year deal.

He will be assisted by Dillon Sheppard, who joined Amakhosi in 2020 as an assistant coach.

Kaizer Chiefs’ 2-2 draw against Swallows FC at FNB Stadium on Saturday marked the end of the Soweto giants’ 2021/22 Premier Soccer League campaign as they concluded the season in position four on the table.

The position of the log frustrated some fans who now feel that Zwane did not deserve to be the head coach and some did not even want him to be the assistant.

But others gave Zwane the thumbs up saying they feel he represents the future and will steer the team in the right direction to end a long trophy drought.

Born 20 September 1973, Zwane is a South African former soccer player who played as a midfielder, most notably for Kaizer Chiefs.

He retired from playing on 1 February 2010.

His coaching qualifications include a UEFA B Licence, CAF A and B licenses.
