Chivaviro Back Home As He Readies 20th Album
Award-winning gospel musician, Togarepi Chivaviro, is back in the country as he works on his 20th album.
The Assemblies of Pentecostal Methodists (APM) Church founder flew back into the country on Saturday from his United States of America base ahead of a concert at Braeside Christian Centre.
Dubbed the “Ebenezer Platinum Gospel Choir”, Chivaviro will share the stage with long-time friends Sipho Makhabane, Machanic Manyeruke, and Timothy Ngwenya.
Speaking to H-Metro, Chivaviro said he was happy to be back home after three years abroad. He said:
It’s been three years away from home. I am excited to be back and was overwhelmed by the fans as we celebrate the InterContinental award and the Doctorate Degree of Ministry.

I have gathered a few of my friends in the music circles and we will be having a concert at the Braeside Christian Centre this Saturday.
This is also part of my working on my 20th album.
I felt reconnected as soon as I touched down and seeing the fans who came to welcome me makes me want to quickly get into the studio and record something.
Three years is a long time and I haven’t been able to concentrate on my music or promote the latest album because of the distance and studies.
But, I am here to compensate for all that.
Chivaviro said he will embark on a nationwide tour promoting his latest album in Mutare, Gokwe, Bulawayo, Masvingo, Chinhoyi, and Kariba.
He will then embark on a world tour, with their first stop in Leicester, England, in March next year.
During his stay in the US, Chivaviro released two albums – Kana Wakayambuka and The African Social Gospel Volume 1.
The African Social Gospel Volume 1 is his 19th album and carries songs such as Gore Regore, Chinyarara Moyo Wangu, Delivered From People, and Mayenzek’ Intando Yakho.
