Kadewere Discharged From Hospital After Suffering Heatstroke

Warriors forward Tino Kadewere vomited in Real Mallorca’s dressing room on Sunday after suffering from a heat stroke.

The incident occurred during a La Liga match pitting Real Mallorca against Real Sociedad.

Kadewere (27) did not return for the second half but was rushed to the hospital.

Making his fourth start for the La Liga club following his loan move from Lyon, Kadewere had played the entire first half before the halftime incident.

On Monday Kadewere told H-Metro that he was feeling better and was awaiting results. He said:

I am feeling much better today (yesterday). I am still at the hospital and might be going back home soon.

It was really hot and I think I was also catching a fever, so it got worse.

Right now I’m just waiting for the results.

If the tests are good, and also it depends on how I will be feeling, then we will know when I will be back.

Mallorca coach, Javier Aguirre, said he was forced to substitute Kadewere for Abdón Prats. He said:

I had planned to stretch Kadewere a little more and have him have more minutes, but he was not successful in the game and, with the heat stroke at half-time, he began to vomit and the change was natural.

Kadewere has so far scored twice in his 13 appearances across all competitions in this campaign.
