Cain Muteji was one of Zimbabwe's greatest football players, who during his time played for the National Soccer Team The Dream Team under 23. Together with his twin brother Abel Muteji the twins took Zimbabwe football by storm back in the mid-90s.

Cain came from Midlands[1] (with some roots in Chiredzi)[2] and was born and raised in that part of the country till his debut at both Chapungu and the national team.

Cain played for Chapungu Football Club. He was part of the classy Zimbabwe Under-23 team that came close to winning the 1995 All-Africa Games gold medal. During his time they also lost in the final qualifier of the Atlanta 1996 Olympics to a Nigerian Under-23 side.[3]

Cain Miteji died a few years ago.
