Dhadza D is a popular Zimdancehall artist who is known for his energetic stage performances. He claims to draw inspiration from Jamaican artist Capleton. Dadza D is based in Chitungwiza . He rose to prominence in 2013 with his hit Baba Fungi which topped the charts on some radio stations.

Music career

Dhadza's music career started when he was still at primary school at a very young age of 10 when he played "marimba" for the school club. The school authorities allowed him to play the instrument even though kids at his age were not allowed to do so. After school, he then went on to sign a record deal with Topshatta Records that saw him subsequently releasing his debut album, "Welcome Prince Ah Fire". The album carried a number of hit tracks such as "Dont get stuck" and "Chikosoro" both which made it in the Zimbabwe Top 20 for a number of weeks.[1] . His breakthrough come in 2012 with the hit "Baba Fungi" which topped the charts. since then he has worked with several artists which include Guspy Warrior, Sniper Storm and Tehn Diamond. His music had become so popular that he made a debut appearance at Book Cafe in February 2014 as a main act.[2] The Book Cafe hosts big names such as Oliver Mtukudzi.

The "Prince of Fire" as Dhadza is also known by his fans was in February 2014 among the five artists who were appointed the Shoko Festival ambassadors for their contribution to the arts industry.[3]
