Kudzai Chipanga Timeline
Kudzanayi Chipanga (Kudzai for short) is a politician and member of the Zanu-PF party. He is the current Secretary of Youth Affairs in the party, making him the head of the party's Youth League. Chipanga was appointed by Robert Mugabe on 3 September 2016.
After the military generals threatened to intervene in Zimbabwe's politics on 13 November 2017, the following day Chipanga issued a press statement against the threat declaring that the Youth League was prepared to die for Robert Mugabe.
On the night of 14 November 2017, Kudzai Chipanga was reportedly arrested by the military following their takeover of the country. Following his arrest the Zanu-PF Youth League released a statement saying that he was fine and that they were complying with what it called the “National Democratic Project.”
On the evening of 15 November, Chipanga appeared on national TV apologising to the military generals for his statement the previous day.

Kudzanayi Chipanga was reportedly accused of attempting to block first lady Grace Mugabe’s ascension to the vice presidency by resisting efforts to amend the party constitution at the coming Zanu-PF Extraordinary Congress. Chipanga who has made a name for himself through constant boot licking at party events is also being accused of being a member of Team Lacoste, the faction which is supporting Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa to succeed President Robert Mugabe. 2/04/2017 Zanu-PF youths in Mutare allegedly manhandled Deputy Minister of Local Government, Public Works, and National Housing Christopher Chingosho.
