Legend Elly is a prominent Zimdancehall artist who shot to prominence with hits such as "Giroriya" and "Arikuridza mhere" which was released just after the alleged scandal of Mathias Mhere's wife infidelity.
Background
Legend Elly was born on the 24 of July 1990 in Warrenpark.[1] He did his secondary education at Warrenpark High.
Career
Elisha broke into the limelight with his hit "Giroriya" which received widespread airplay on various platforms across the country. The song was most appealing by the manner in which it managed to portray Zimdancehall artists such as Freeman, Shinsoman and Killer T as religious figures and using their catchphrases like "popopopo" and "ita seunononga" in the song. Elly also did a song commenting the confrontation between the Zimbabwe Republic Police and members of the apostolic sect led by Madzibaba Ishmael Chokurongerwa.[2] Following up on his social commentary stance, he also penned a song commenting on the alleged infidelity of Mhere's wife, Susan Dzinamarira with Gift Mahlupeka
