Details

Government declared the Musanhi bus accident that left 17 people dead in Mt Darwin in Mashonaland Central Province a state of disaster. The 34 people who were among the injured admitted at Mt Darwin District Hospital had been treated and discharged. The three of the injured were transferred to Bindura Provincial Hospital, two others to Karanda Hospital while 10 were still at Mt Darwin Hospital.[1] The accident occured when a Dotito bound bus side-swiped with a haulage truck. The bus later plunged into a ditch about 30 metres away from the bridge, injuring more people on impact. The truck horse suffered minimal damage as the bus sideswiped with the trailer that sliced its top.[1]
