N.T.M is a Zimbabwean Musician. He has a style of art that he calls hip hop yechitema or HYC which is an attempt to diverge from mainstream commercial Zimbabwean Hip hop as he seeks to establish Shona as the primary music language. He believes that by using Shona Language we are able to preserve our Culture and History.

Background

Born Nigel Tapiwa Munhedzva, he has been active in Glen View Hip Hop since 2004 as a member of one of the oldest groups H-Kaust. One of the founding members of Book Cafè Academy of Performing Artists. He performed at BOCAPA Festival in 2004 alongside Godobori from Ghetto Projects. Better known as "Tha Hommie", N.T.M has shared the stage with some of Africa's finest.

Music career

In 2011 he took the stage as one of the supporting acts for Didier Awadi of Senegal at HIFA 2011.

N.T.M made his first international debut in 2013 where he represented Zimbabwe at the Festa2H Hip Hop Festival 8th edition in Senegal.[1]He collaborated with Potent Whisper, Nancie and Phoebe (UK), Balvada (Senegal) and Stan (Belgium) for a song titled " Universe." The song got 4000 views in two days.

In the same year he collaborated with Germans Baddest Dubstep Masters Symbiz Sound at Shoko Festival alongside Dhadza D and Roki's baby mama Pauline Gundidza Mai Sky.
