News:Demonstrators shut Beitbridge border post down

<vote /> WhatsApp-Image-20160701 (5).jpeg Border Demo.jpeg Demonstrators have blocked the Beitbridge border post in protest to the implementation of the Statutory Instrument 64 of 2016 by Zimra. The protesters who marched from Msina were barred from entering the South African component of the border by the police of that country. It is understood that they wanted to walk through to the Zimbabwean side of the border.

The statutory instrument tightens importation of basic commodities such as cooking oil, toiletries among other items. You can view the full list of banned items here.
