News:Evan Mawarire Appeals On Government To Release Mahiya, Masarira. Comments On This Gown Campaign
<vote /> This Flag Movement coordinator Evan Mawarire has released a video appealing to government to release Douglas Mahiya and Linda Masarira. In the video Mawarire calls on government not to apply the law selectively to silence critics.
He argues that instead of the government arresting everyone with divergent views, it should seek to discuss and solve the issues being raised. He condemns the use of the law to hurt citizens. Mawarire calls on the citizens to support the unemployed youth who were in First Street wearing their graduation gowns. Before signing off he calls on government to fix the current situation which involves corruption and injustice which he argues are highlighted by the arrest of citizens who have questioned the government.
