News:Government offers civil servants $100 salary advance

<vote /> Government yesterday offered the worker's representatives $100 advance payment for transport to work after long deliberations. The arrangement excludes members of the Zimbabwe National Army, Air Force of Zimbabwe, who were paid yesterday, and the police and prison officers who will be paid this Thursday.

The workers said they will consult their membership on whether to accept the government offer or not. Labour Minister Prisca Mupfumira said the $100 would be paid byu Friday. She was accompanied by Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa, ICT Minister Supa Mandiwanzira, RBZ Governor John Mangudya and Civil Service Commission officials.
