News:Govt announces new pay dates for health workers in a bid to stop strike

<vote /> The Government has issued new pay dates for Health workers amid reports that teachers and nurses had downed tools in protest of the late salaries. According to the circular, health workers will be getting their June salaries on 8 July, 6 days before the originally stated 14 July date. The circular reads,

RE: CHANGE OF JUNE 2016 PAYDATES FOR HEALTH WORKERS

Further to our earlier communication where we advised that the June 2016 salaries for Health workers would be paid on 14 July 2016, please be advised that Treasury has informed us that salaries for Health workers for the month of June 2016 will now be paid on 8 July 2016.
