<vote /> Sungura musician, Hosiah Chipanga, has shifted focus, preferring to perform at political rallies, which he said promised better prospects, since political parties often pay handsomely.

In an interview with NewsDay in Chinhoyi, where he performed at a Zimbabwe People First rally, Chipanga said he was prepared to perform at all political rallies, including Zanu-PF’s, as long as they paid for his services,

Very few people are attending live shows nowadays, mainly because of the harsh economic environment that has eroded people’s disposable incomes. I can sing for any party, including Zanu PF, as long as they pay me, but unfortunately some parties refuse to pay after the show.

Chipanga, who recently released a new album, Gamba, dedicated to the late decorated former Zimbabwe National Army commander, Solomon Mujuru. He also said that Zanu PF should allow the younger generation to takeover,

Zanu PF needs to be reformed and should allow the younger generation to take over. The father should be led by the children when they are old enough.
