<vote /> The Ministry of Local Government, Local Housing and Public Works yesterday reinstated Harare Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni after failing to set up a tribunal to try him for violating Sections of the Urban Councils Act.

Acting Local Government, Local Housing and Public Works Minister, Jonathan Moyo wrote a letter to Munyenyeni informing him that Government had lifted his suspension as both Harare Mayor and Mount Pleasant Councillor.

Government position does not decide the fate of town clerk, James Mushore, who continues to report for work, despite council disapproval. Mushore was appointed by Munyenyeni without Local Government Board's approval.
