News:Mnangagwa responds to Mkwananzi's Con Court lawsuit against Mugabe
<vote /> Tajamuka/Sesjikile Campaign spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi who is currently being held at Harare Central Police station filed a Constitutional lawsuit against President Robert Mugabe. In the application he also cited Vice President and Justice Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa as a second respondent.
Mkwananzi's application is based on Section 167 (2) (d) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe for The Determination of whether The President has failed to fulfill his constitutional obligation and duties as required by Section 90 (1) and (2). Mnangagwa responded the application raising a motion that the application should have been filed by the Registrar. Part of the response reads,
I am also advised by my Legal Practitioners, which advice I take that in terms of the rules of this honourable court such an application must in terms, of Rule 27 (2) of the Constitutional Court Rules 2016. be filed with the Registrar.
Tajamuka spokesperson has vowed to pursue the issue.
