News:Police Fire Teargas As Vendors and Municipal Police Clash. Shops Around CBD Close
Reports are that police have fired teargas at vendors in Harare CBD where vendors and involved in running battles with Municipal police. Several shops have closed as a result of the clashes. Kwame Nkrumah Mall, Choppies and other shops along Nelson Mandela Avenue have closed. Shops in First Street have also closed and the street has been deserted as a result.
On another note suspected Zanu-PF youth attacked the National Vendors Union of Zimbabwe offices with stones breaking windows. Vendors' Union leader Sten Zvorwadza confirmed the incident on Twitter and said that ZRP riot police was not helping them.
