<vote /> speaking after donating books in Makokoba suburb, Minister of Welfare Services for War Veterans Tshinga Dube encouraged police to never arrest or use teargas and batons on minors during disturbances or protests.

Dube said,

There have been videos that have circulated on social media showing police brutality. Police in Bulawayo have also been accused of throwing teargas resulting in the death of a minor in Dube's constituency.

A total of 10 schools, both primary and secondary, received books sourced from the Rotary Club which Dube said were meant to instil a reading culture and improve the public examinations pass rate in the constituency.
