<vote /> According to a post released on Tajamuka/Sesjikile Campaign Facebook page, activist Linda Masarira has now been reportedly transferred to the most dangerous male section of Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison. Masarira was accused by guards of inciting the female prisoners to protest. Female Prisoners sang Freedom songs all night. The Prisoners were protesting against the unfair judiciary system and the abuse which they have been facing at the hands of prison guards. Seven (7) of the female prisoners were placed in solitary confinement.

Masarira was transferred her to the most dangerous male section of the prison in similar fashion to the murder accused Yvonne Musarurwa and the late Rebecca Mafikeni. Mafikeni died at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals where she had been admitted after her condition deteriorated. Before her death, she had lost her eye sight.

Tajamuka believes this transfer is sanctioned as they write,

It is important to NOTE that the abuse they are facing is sanctioned and endorsed by the Robert Mugabe and His ZANU PF government as this is used as form of intimidation against those speaking out against the Regime.
