Orphans and vulnerable children

Opharns and Vulnerable Children (OVC) is a term used mostly by NGOs and government to refer to orphans and children in poverty situations or those vulnerable to abuse.

According to the 2012 UNICEF BEAM Evaluation and Assessment Report, Zimbabwe has more than 1,3 million orphans and about 10 000 of these are from child headed families.[1]
