The accident involved two buses, Bolt Cutter and Smart Express and happened at about 1730hrs on 07 November 2018. According to eyewitnesses, the Smart Express bus attempted to overtake a haulage truck going against a solid road lane separation markings. The bus then collided head-on with BoltCutter bus.
The government declared it a national disaster.
Injuries and Deaths
According to reports, 40 people died on the spot, 5 died on their way to hospital last night, while 5 more died the next day.
