Taurai Mandebvu is an Urban Grooves musician. He started his career as a dancer (2003) in Roki's band and later went on to work on his own music. His notable works include Chido Changu, Nyeredzi, and the chart-topping hit Better Man which was featured in the 2012 Power FM top 100 songs. He has shared the stage with international artists including Sean Paul, Akon, Ciara, Lil Kim and Phat Joe.

In 2012 Taurai was fined for driving without a license[1]. He told reporters that he was taking driving lessons. In June of the same year, three people broke into the Mandebvu residence and one of them was beaten to death while the other two managed to escape after they had been discovered[2]. The police said Taurai, his father, sister, the maid and two neighbors were the assaulting party[2]. The five were charged with murder[2]. In 2017 he was reported to have fallen in hard times[3] and was looking for any kind of work. Mandebvu was quoted as saying:

I can’t pretend as if everything is okay. I’m struggling and looking for a job to keep me going. I don’t mind working in supermarkets or trenches. What I need right now is just any kind of job.
