The Classic Safara Challenge is an annual tourist event that gives tourists an opportunity to tour selected countries using their vehicles. The epic rally is held around Southern Africa. The event involves having fun through driving in old cars especially those manufactured in the 1920s. The challenge is sponsored by the Endura Rally Association and is held once every two years. In 2014, the challenge arrived in Zimbabwe with over 70 tourists from Britain, Swaziland and Australia. The group is expected to tour the Victoria Falls and Matopo National Park.

2014

The event was for long limited to other countries excluding Zimbabwe. In 2014 the latter was selected and saw the arrival of 70 tourists across the globe. The group started off in Cape Town, South Africa. From there they proceeded to Swaziland upon which they arrived in Zimbabwe. Event coordinator Vincent Taylor said the 28 vintage cars they bought are all from their countries of origin.[1]
