Scandal

In May 2016 social media was awash with rumours that Tinotenda was arrested with 7 million in the boot of his car. However the rumour was dismissed by his sister Gamuchirai who posted a picture on twitter of him and her sister at Dougie's Braai in Greendale. The Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education Professor Jonathan Moyo also rubbished the rumours on twitter by tweeting,

"My reliable information is that it's a naked lie. Young Tino Chinamasa is at home in Harare right now. Dirty tricks!" ,

[3] His father Patrick Chinamasa dismissed the reports as malicious via a Press release. In the statement said that

"This onslaught on my character and reputation will not deter or intimidate us from pursuing economic reforms within the context of ZimAsset,”
