Jotham Zvinongoza was born on 26th January 1976 in Mvura Village under Chief Nhema of Shurugwi District from a family of Seven children.His parents' names are Febby Tofa and Kefasi Mapenhure Zvinongoza Of Shurugwi District and his siblings are Chipo,Mark,Norah,Nyika,Sithabile and Nickson.He went to three primary schools namely Matamba,Dombwe and Dlemiti primary schools and for his secondary and high level he went to Tongogara High school situated in Shurugwi District. His secondary education was sponsored by his parents while his A level was sponsored by Isla Grundy who was a student at University of Zimbabwe with the assistance of Melanic VonPenz who was teaching at Chrome secondary school,Catherine Veebek who was a lecturer at University of Zimbabwe and Jane Sayers who was a teacher in UK.After his A levels he worked as a temporary teacher at Zviwumwa secondary school which is in Tokwe 3 resettlement areas along Mutevekwane river and Chironde range which are in the rich soils of Shurugwi.He then left temporary teaching in 1997 and registered to train as an Officer cadet at Zimbabwe military academy in Gweru. However because of his leg injury in 1985 caused by a bullet which he hit with a stone and severely injuring his leg he failed to further his training.He was then called to work at Samuel Osborn Engineering in Bulawayo as artisan assistant in 1998 after the passing away of his brother Costas Nyika Matongo who served well with the organization.After working for 3 years with Osborn he was send to a technical college where he trained as a fitter and turner mentored by Willard Maware who is currently working for Freda Gold mine as Plant Superitentant and after few years of working with Samuel Osborn Engineering now named Jacob Bethel corporation the management decided to send him to college again to further his engineering studies.He is employed by Jacob Bethel Corporation as engineering workshop foreman and Quality assurance inspector.
