The Vic Falls Marathon is a one-day marathon event held in Victoria Falls annually. The marathon was first held in 2006 with 300 mainly local runners. It is now Zimbabwe's largest marathon with over 2,500 runners. The title sponsor for a number of years now has been Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, hence the name Econet Vic Falls Marathon.

The marathon is organised by Wild Frontiers, a tour operator offering safaris into East and Southern Africa. It was developed in conjunction with the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe.

Vic Falls Marathon draws runners from neighbouring countries, and from around the world – with up to 40 nationalities attending the event in 2017.

Races

  • Full Marathon – 42.2 km
  • Half Marathon – 21.1 km
  • Specially Abled – 18km
