ZBC reports that the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has suspended its Commissioner General, Gershom Pasi and five executive managers sending them on paid leave with immediate effect. The five are:
- Annah Mutombodzi,
- Sithokozile Mrewa,
- Tjiyapo Velempini,
- Clive Majengwa
- Charlton Chihuri.
The suspension was announced by Willia Bonyongwe, the chairperson of the ZIMRA board. The suspension follows a car importations scandal. Happias Kuzvinzwa has been appointed Acting Commissioner-General.
