ZIMRA Commissioner General Gershom Pasi Suspended

ZBC reports that the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has suspended its Commissioner General, Gershom Pasi and five executive managers sending them on paid leave with immediate effect.[1] The five are:

  • Annah Mutombodzi,
  • Sithokozile Mrewa,
  • Tjiyapo Velempini,
  • Clive Majengwa
  • Charlton Chihuri.

The suspension was announced by Willia Bonyongwe, the chairperson of the ZIMRA board. The suspension follows a car importations scandal. Happias Kuzvinzwa has been appointed Acting Commissioner-General.
