Maureen Sibanda Shonge is a Regional Policy Specialist for UN Women supporting 13 country offices in East and Southern Africa on governance and political participation issues. She is an influencer of policy through evidence-based research to promote accountability and transparency on governance and political participation issues.
Maureen is a Fellow of The Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation (BGRF), Women’s Human Rights Programme (2013-2015) in cooperation with Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) the Network of East-West Women (NEWW), and Euro regional Centre for Public Initiatives (ECPI). She is also a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe and SADC Lawyers for Human Rights. Member of the Oxford International Human Rights Law Association.
