News:MDC-T And Zanu-PF Call For Crisis Meetings Tomorrow

<vote /> MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai has summoned members of his national council to an emergency meeting tomorrow to resolve internal fissures triggered by his recent appointment of Nelson Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri as the party’s vice-presidents.

Tsvangirai’s spokesperson Luke Tamborinyorika confirmed the development, but declined to disclose the agenda of the meeting which comes hardly two weeks after another firefighting indaba failed to resolve the impasse. (read more here)

Meanwhile the Herald reports that the Zanu-PF Politburo is meeting tomorrow to discuss various issues affecting the party. Party secretary for administration Ignatius Chombo confirmed the meeting although he could not divulge the agenda of the meeting. Issues that might take center stage are the appointment of new Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association following the call for a new board by patron Robert Mugabe at a rally held last week.
