Patience Nyangove was a renowned journalist who was working for The Cofedente In Namibia before her death.

Patience was born in Zimbabwe in 1981 [1]

Patience started her career in 2003 and was a health editor for Namibia's Confidente.[2] Patience Nyangove worked for a weekly privately owned publication, The Confidente Newspaper in Namibia, as a senior journalist that covers anything from health, hard news, investigative and feature-writing. Patience worked for 15 years as a print journalist. [3]

Her journalism career began in Zimbabwe where she was news, investigative, features, health and lifestyle journalist for weekly and daily newspapers. She has also worked in South Africa as an online journalist. In 2013 while she was still working for AMH in Harare, Patience's contract was terminated for allegedly demanding bribes and turning into a state witness against the Standard. [4]. Before she left Alpha media Holding for Namibia, Patience had been arrested for an alleged false report she did while still at the Standard. [5] ZRP claimed Nyangove falsely reported that Timba was arrested by police officers who included “the notorious" Superintendent Chrispen Makedenge. Authorities said that the police inspector in question was not present or involved in Timba's arrest.

In August 2019, Patience was chosen as the second run-up to the Namibia Health Journalist of the year.[6]

News of Patience's death broke the internet on 01 October 2019. Patience died of a Kidney[7] failure in Namibia where she was working.

Her boss from Confidente describing her said:

Some of her investigative work led to official state investigations while others got muted responses. We have indeed lost a precious asset in investigative reporting. We have lost one of our own and we can only honour her legacy by building on the foundation that she has left us with. Certainly, journalism is poorer without her and we offer our deepest condolences to her family

At the time of her death, was a 3rd year student at the University of Namibia where she was studying towards an Honours Degree in Public Management.Patience Nyangove Published 2018, Retrieved 2019</ref>
