Tatenda Taibu is one of the most outstanding cricketers to have played for the Chevrons. He was drafted into the national side when he was just nineteen years old and went to have a very rewarding career playing both international an franchise cricket.
The former Chevrons captain holds the world record for the youngest player to captain a national side when he was appointed team captain aged 20. Taibu was a very talented wicket keeper as well as batsman. He has the second highest dismissals as a ODI wicketkeeper for Zimbabwe after another iconic Zimbabwean wicket keeper and captain, Andy Flower
His career came to a screeching halt when he announced that he was retiring from the game in 2011 to concentrate on the word of "God".
