Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the post above. The Cleaner/Messenger will report to the Campus Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing of designated areas to the required standard.
- Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard.
- Cleaning of working surfaces and furniture as directed.
- Clearing up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning.
- Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Setting up, arranging, and removing decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as conferences and meetings.
- Empting bins and recyclables and transporting to disposal area.
- Making tea for University staff during meetings.
- Delivering internal and external mail.
- Performing any other related tasks that may be assigned by the Campus Administrator from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 O’ level passes including English Language.
- At least one (1) year experience as a Cleaner/Messenger in a reputable organisation.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
