Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above-mentioned post (6 Months Contract. The incumbent will be reporting to the Civil Engineering Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse set projects and ensure availability of resources and equipment and make requests where necessary to avoid any work disruptions.
- Analyse the number of personnel needed on site to accomplish certain tasks and liaise with the Projects Manager on way forward.
- Conduct resource scheduling on a weekly basis to ensure availability of the necessary equipment in meeting set targets.
- Assist in coordinating key personnel during projects and proffer recommendations where necessary to ensure project timelines are met.
- Assist in coordinating all aspects of the construction process including hiring contractors and working with engineers and vendors so as to ensure smooth implementation of all projects
- Provide regular feedback to the Projects Manager on project progress based on set schedules
- Partake in planning meetings with the technical staff and communicate clear deliverables or tasks within set timeline to which they are accountable for delivering.
Quality Control
- Carry out quality control measures for every stage of the project i.e ripping off of the road and material testing to ensure total quality management of projects.
- Conduct material testing and surface testing for different stages of the project to avoid any errors that may be costly to the organization.
- Make informed decisions on the tipper trucks needed as well as distribution of labor in ensuring maximum productivity is achieved
Client engagement
- Engage key clients through the set checklist and ensure clients are aware of set expectations as well as sign off the checklist to certify agreement.
- Engage sub-contractors in undertaking certain projects as well as suppliers in sourcing for quotations on construction equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- “A” Levels.
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
