A 27-year-old woman from Borrowdale, Harare, was allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint by three men on Saturday night.
The woman’s two children, a five-month-old baby and a two-year-old are also believed to have been sexually assaulted by the attackers.
The woman had left home to buy airtime, carrying her five-month-old daughter on her back and her two-year-old daughter on her shoulders.
On their way back home, they encountered the three unidentified men at the bridge near Pomona Quarry Stones.
After the attack, the woman returned home and reported the incident to her husband, who then helped her file a police report.
The spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Harare Province, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/gang-rapes-woman-abuses-her-two-kids-one-of-the-kids-is-just-five-months-old-her-other-daughter-is-only-two-years-old/">H-Metro</a>. He said:

Police are investigating a rape case involving a mother and her two babies in Borrowdale.
One of the accused persons ordered the complainant to keep quiet and they lifted her together with her kids and laid them on the grass.
One of the accused person pointed an unidentified pistol on the complainant’s forehead while the other accused person raped her without protection.
The other suspects also raped her without protection and the minor children were suspected to have been raped as well.
When the third accused finished, they instructed the complainant to wake up and walk away without looking back and she complied.
The three unknown accused persons disappeared in the dark.

He added that the victims were escorted to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for medical examinations.

The Harare Magistrates Court is on Friday, August 30, expected to deliver its ruling on four teenagers accused of gang-raping a 14-year-old girl at a party after she became intoxicated.
As reported by <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/four-teenagers-up-for-rape/">The Herald</a>, the trial began last week, with prosecutor Tawanda Nyandoro leading evidence from four witnesses.
The accused—Tapiwanashe Marufu (19), Tapiwa Mlambo (18), and two accomplices aged 16 and 14—appeared before Harare regional magistrate Taurai Manuwere on charges of rape.
During the trial, the complainant recounted the events of February 24, when she and her friend, both minors, left home for a birthday party in Glen View 7, Harare.
She testified that upon arrival, her friend offered her a Bally House drink, which she consumed, leading to feelings of dizziness.
Accused number 3, also a minor, allegedly carried her into a spare bedroom, placed her on the bed, and then left the room.
He later returned, fondled her breasts, and left again after she pushed his hands away.
The complainant stated that he returned with Marufu, who undressed her. Despite her attempts to scream, Marufu covered her mouth with one hand, and both he and accused number 3 raped her.
The complainant reported losing consciousness after the assault.
Her friend witnessed Mlambo and accused number 4 taking turns to rape her.
She was ultimately rescued by two minors, Bruce and Raphael, who intervened and removed the accused from the room.
When she regained consciousness around 6 PM, her friend informed her of the assault.
The complainant then returned home, where she confided in her sister, leading to the matter being reported to the police and the subsequent arrest of the four accused.

Four teenagers are in court for raping a 14-year-old girl at a party after she got drunk. The girl and her friend went to a party where she was given a drink that made her feel dizzy. One of the boys at the party took her into a room, undressed her, covered her mouth, and raped her. Another boy also raped her while she was unconscious. Her friend saw two other boys rape her too. Luckily, two other boys intervened and stopped the assault. The girl told her sister, and the boys were arrested. The court will decide the boys' fate soon.

14-year-old Girl Drugged And Gang-raped At Birthday Party

A Bulawayo family whose daughter was allegedly gang-raped on her way home after attending extra lessons in August last year is still waiting for justice to take its course.
According to the <a href="https://www.chronicle.co.zw/a-familys-quest-for-justice-for-gang-raped-daughter/">Chronicle</a>, the victim (name supplied) was traumatised and attempted to take her own life twice, prompting her family to take her to psychologists for counselling.
The girl was allegedly raped by three men who were travelling in a Honda Fit vehicle plying the Mpopoma-Nkulumane route.
On the day she was attacked, the victim had just finished her lessons when she boarded the vehicle which had four other women onboard.
The girl’s mother said the matter was reported to the police last year, but no arrests have been made as no leads have been established. She said:

After dropping off the other passengers, the rapists asked my daughter where she was going before locking all the doors. The vehicle had tinted glass.
They drove the car to a secluded and bushy area in Tshabalala where they stopped and took turns to rape her.
There were three of them and after that, they dropped her near our home.

She said her daughter did not tell anyone about the issue until she developed an infection. She said:

Unfortunately, her father and I are separated and when the incident occurred, I was on national duty doing election exercises.
She then asked if I knew anybody who does counselling and I told her she could talk to me but she refused.
I then referred her to my friend who then informed me of what had happened.
We then made a police report before taking her to the hospital where she was given medication.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson in Bulawayo Province, Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed that they received the report last year and investigations are underway. He said:

The case was reported at Tshabalala Police Station last year in August, and it is still under investigation.
We have quite a number of these cases and we are appealing to members of the public with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact us or visit any nearest police station.
It might take time for us to conclude the investigations, but justice will eventually prevail.

Rape victims are encouraged to visit an Adult Rape Clinic rather than a general hospital or clinic when possible.

Bulawayo Family Seeks Justice For Gang-raped Daughter

A 26-year-old woman from Avonlea in Harare was kidnapped before she was gang-raped at Botanic Gardens after she had boarded a Mushika-shika vehicle from town on Wednesday.
Police said the four men who raped the woman also robbed her of cash and a cellphone and then dumped her.
ZRP spokesperson in Harare Province, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/woman-gang-raped-by-mushika-shika-crew/">H-Metro</a>.
He said the victim was referred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for medical examination. Said Insp Chakanza:

Police are investigating a case involving a woman who was raped after being offered transport along Leopold Takawira Street in town to Avonlea.
Circumstances are that on March 1 at around 11 AM, the complainant boarded a black Honda Fit, at corner Leopold Takawira and Nelson Mandela, intending to go to Avonlea.
The vehicle had four men, including the driver.
The victim shared the front passenger seat with one accused.
The vehicle drove along Leopold Takawira towards Avondale and turned right into Cork Road just after Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
When they reached a bushy area near the Botanic Gardens, the accused, who was sharing a seat with the complainant, demanded the complainant’s valuables
Complainant handed her Honor cellphone which had a US$10 note in the pouch.
Accused then snatched the complainant’s handbag and stole US$5.
The accused, who was sharing the seat with complainant, fondled her breasts and the other three accused disembarked from the vehicle and he raped her once without protection.
The other three took turns to rape the victim and dumped her in the garden.
She was later rescued by a passerby who took her to ZRP Avondale.

Harare Woman Gang-raped And Robbed By Mushika-shika Crew

A 20-year-old Bulawayo woman was allegedly gang-raped by seven men who had forced her to gulp a spiked drink.
The woman fell unconscious only to wake up later naked with bloodstains on her thighs.
ZRP spokesperson in Bulawayo Province Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.
He warned members of the public against boarding pirate taxis saying they would be putting their lives at risk. Said Ncube:

Pirate taxis are usually used by criminals and as such people would be putting their lives at risk. They should use public transport which bears ZUPCO log.
</blockquote>
Allegations are that the woman boarded a Honda Fit car that had seven male occupants heading to the Emhlangeni suburb.
When they had reached a fuel service station close to her suburb, the young woman told the driver that she had reached her destination.
One of the men allegedly grabbed her and shut her mouth while warning her not to scream.
The suspects then forced her to drink spiked alcohol after which they took her to a house in North End suburb where they gang-raped her.
When she regained consciousness, she reported the matter at Queens Park police station.
Police referred her to the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) for medical examination.

Honda Fit Occupants Force Woman (20) To Drink Spiked Alcohol

Police in Bulawayo have urged members of the public to desist from boarding Mushikashika motor vehicles after a woman was gang-raped by four men at The Bulawayo Provincial Heroes Acre.
The four men also robbed a man who, alongside the woman, had boarded their pirating silver Honda CRV vehicle on Monday night.
Bulawayo Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube on Tuesday said a manhunt had been launched for the suspects. He said:
<blockquote>Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of robbery and rape which occurred on April 5 around 8 PM.
The two complainants boarded a Silver Honda CRV registration number unknown at corner 6th avenue and Lobengula Street, Bulawayo intending to go to Cowdray Park.
The car had four men including the driver. The driver drove along Luveve road as if he was proceeding to Cowdray Park.
At the intersection of Luveve Road and Masiyephambili Drive, the driver turned left instead of right and drove for about 100 meters before turning into a bush near Mbeki Hill.
One of the suspects brandished an okapi knife and robbed complaint one (51) of his Mobicel cellphone, US$20, R10 and 10kg mealie meal.
Complainant Two (31) was robbed of her sling bag with $50, US$2, a shopping bag containing rulers, hair combs and rat killer pesticides.
The accused persons then drove along Market Road, Kelvin Industrial Area, Bulawayo where they dumped complainant number one.
From there they drove to Nkulumane Provincial Heroes Acre together with complainant number 2 where three of the accused persons took turns to rape her in the motor vehicle.
After raping the complainant, the accused persons drove back to Kelvin Industrial Area where they dumped her.
The matter was reported at Western Commonage Police Station and complainant number 2 was referred to Mpilo Central Hospital for medical examination.</blockquote>
